Cynthia is an industrial designer and toymaker who is addicted to pulling all-nighters. She works and plays alongside Maeve Jopson as co-founder of Increment, a social venture promoting inclusion through play. Together, they collaborate with occupational therapists, teachers, parents, and kids, through universal and human-centered design to create playthings for kids of all abilities. Increment has been recognized by Core77, Ashoka Changemakers, Microsoft Youthspark, The Awesome Foundation, and the John W. Henry Foundation. They are currently competing as finalists in the 2015 MassChallenge Accelerator in Boston. Cynthia graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 2013 with a BFA in Industrial Design -- and she is missing the wood and metal shops very dearly. She loves to go on aimless bike rides, improvised cooking, and looking for hidden treasure at 2nd Life. Cynthia lives in Providence and is the proud parent of a five-and-a-half-foot tall tomato plant.
